well it seems awfully generous but i have been accused of being self-deprecating so how can i measure these things.

based on posts i have read from you, and about you, i imagine you to be pale and tall and funny and clever and implacable.

ruby was a lot like i expected her to be except maybe a little bit quieter, she doesn't speak in caps and !!!!!, she is very pretty and has a lovely speaking voice and laugh and is funny and smart, i very liked her.

i thought jergins once said you were tall, but maybe i was mistaken and he said nothing of the sort. anyway, that became part of my very sketchy picture of you, though i didn't like you any more or less for it, in fact i didn't really think about it at all.

sometimes i have dreams about ilx people and if i don't know what they look like i don't see their faces: sometimes they are blurred out, or the person has their back to me, or is talking to me from another room, my dream never supplies a face for them.

if i had to guess, i would say you are somewhere in the 5'5 range (that's 5 feet, 5 inches, though i don't know how many meters that is) in height; have brown hair; don't wear glasses regularly; are shy, but overcome this very easily; are witty. probably even more than that too!

i am 5'5'' and i have dark brown hair and i don't wear glasses and i am shy but only in some respects, so that is some pretty good guessing.

did you stop drinking because
A. i don't like this stuff or how it makes me feel

my eyes are as flat and grey as a photocopied irs letterhead.

my stopping drinking was a mixture of a & b, at first i liked this stuff too much and how it made me feel but by the end i didn’t like how it made me feel which was sick and remorseful and horribly anxious nearly all the time, and not ever drunk no matter how much i drank. that was all a long time ago though and i have adjusted to never drinking ever, and i think everyone should carry on without me, i'm not one for spoiling the party.

i would <3 it if we met and you called me estela, i would always call you jergins. i called ruby ruby the other day, it was nice, i like all our ilx names.

at first i was going to write 'we can carry on without you, not to worry' but there's no reason we can't carry on with you. if you can put up with a bunch of drunks on itr and here it wouldn't be much different in any other context :)

i call lingbert lingbert pretty much always. it's hard to remember his real name sometimes. i'm still not sure i pronounce his last name correctly.

he doesn't pronounce it correctly. we've only been friends for about 2 years though.

hey estela do you sometimes get annoyed when you make funny posts and people fall over themselves saying things like "this thread is now perfect because of estela" and other super-hyperbolic things? im sure its really complimentary and a lot of the time theyre saying things that im thinking but frankly i think the strength of your wit is its dry subtlety and a lot of unsubtle internet posters drawing attention to your jokes sometimes ruins them for me. let me know your thoughts thanks max.

i seldom get annoyed about anything on ilx, max, i am mainly in it for the nonsense. i do hold back a bit from lolling and praising other people's posts for the exact reasons you give though. for example you probably make me lol a lot more than you realise and i think you are a top notch poster, but i don't know that i've ever spelled that out.

i never got a full verdict on the toffee crisp iirc

the toffee crisp was also delicious, iirc i ate it in bed at 6am on the third day of my jetlag which seemed liked suitable toffee crisp behaviour.

Major League Baseball today announced its master 2014 regular season schedule, which will begin with the historic 2014 Opening Series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Sydney, Australia on Saturday, March 22nd and Sunday, March 23rd.

: ) we discussed this a few months ago when we heard about it and the upshot was that because it's in sydney it will probably cost about half an airfare to dodger stadium to get to so we won't be going.
