I got into a Facebook dialogue with the guy behind the Karen and Ellen Letters. He was claiming that Mark the landlord "exaggerated about 10-15% of what's in there" -- which confused me, because that would suggest that the letters are not original copies. So now I feel like maybe the letters are rooted in events that really happened but that Mark imaginatively "reconstructed" them years later.

In the very unlikely event that Bennett is real, there's not a single publishing house in the world that would willingly navigate the legal landmine of publishing a book of someone's texts without their knowledge.
