U. and i thought we were going up there to sing bill withers - "lovely day" but apparently M. thought it would be funny to add my name with "the lady in red" to the list, so we ended up singing that.

bill withers - "lovely day" was still in the queue, but there were at least two more people in front of us, and i couldn't make myself others sit through any more horrible people singing horribly, so we left

i figured out my problem with "diamonds on the soles of her shoes" and this is it:

when i hear that song, or even just think of it, i get fucking "you can call me al" stuck in my head! THE WRONG SONG in my head, for ages ages like months i mean. see, how annoying is that?

except i also realized (recently) that the lyrics playing endlessly in my head have morphed into:

am0n walks down the street
he says why am i short of attention
etc.

so now i like it better.

also ken's worst has a new contender:

disco edit of janis ian's "seventeen" or whatever the fuck that horrible horrible song is.

the people who work there must be completely dead inside.

i lolled this morning when i bought 2 string cheeses and put them in my pocket
