k3vin k., Monday, 5 December 2011 07:14 (twelve years ago) link

gotta feel good about the Packers, who had a ton of stuff go wrong for them (turnover deep in their own territory, gave up a ton of big plays, Woodson going out, missed FG, 6-7 dropped passes) but still managed to win. sucks that Woodson's gonna probably sit for a while but their schedule is pretty easy now. 3 of 4 games at home with the one road trip being to KC. Bears looking horrible, now completely depleted on offense - losing Forte makes Caleb even less likely to succeed. Once again the Lions embarrass themselves on national TV but every NFC wildcard contender lost today so they'll probably squeak in at 9-7 or something.

for some reason the flow of a basketball game just doesn't do it for me. I like playing tho. I was a pretty lame bloomer w/ my interest in sports, I pretty much was a regular nerd who didn't care before college. it helped that my college football team's qb at the time was aaron rodgers.

iatee, Monday, 5 December 2011 14:28 (twelve years ago) link

haha 'late bloomer' also lame bloomer

Favre to Bears rumors starting, would be such an epic Week 16 game to see Favre and the Bears come to Lambeau w/ their playoff hopes on the line trying to take out the unbeaten Packers

Rolo Tony, Monday, 5 December 2011 19:55 (twelve years ago) link

i'm going to hack up a lung laughing if favre comes back

Just read that Gruden article in the NY'er -- makes it sound inevitable that he'll be back coaching by 2013 if not sooner. He's sublimating the hell out of his need to coach with the amt of prep he puts into MNF.

browns punt return where they had nine guys on the field

was it here that i read about brady snapping the ball when colts had 13 guys on the field

my favorite time pats tried that was still vs raiders, trying to catch them substituting with 12 guys on the field.. would have worked except raiders played the previous snap with 10 guys.

but still. NINE? how would that not look completely weird instantly

daria, Tuesday, 6 December 2011 03:26 (twelve years ago) link

It's a sad state of affairs when Jax can't even fill the stadium for a MNF game. And it's NOT a big stadium.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 6 December 2011 03:27 (twelve years ago) link

i still don't believe jacksonville jaguars are an actual nfl franchise tbh. how is it legal for this game to even happen

daria, Tuesday, 6 December 2011 03:27 (twelve years ago) link

esp with blaine gabbert, drum machine programmer for pop will eat itself, starting at QB

daria, Tuesday, 6 December 2011 03:28 (twelve years ago) link

They've had good years as far as the W-L record goes, but they've never ever been exciting.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 6 December 2011 03:29 (twelve years ago) link

gruden is pissed at gabbert (well as pissed as gruden can get)
