i feel bad for lesean that he has to play for this godforsaken team, he's the best runner in the nfl

k3vin k., Friday, 2 December 2011 05:16 (twelve years ago) link

even without that pick in the end, I have no idea what the Eagles were thinking when in the 3rd quarter, down 17, they rattle off a 10+ minute TD drive that bleeds into the 4th, taking the play clock down to 5 on almost every play

like, sure you can comeback vs. Seattle, but why make it so hard on yourself??

god i wish i were a betting man sometimes because i had no fucking doubt seattle was winning that game.

cad, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:18 (twelve years ago) link

home team in a thursday night game, unless its really a mismatch, is a p good betting proposition imo

j crunchwrap supreme, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:24 (twelve years ago) link

also when the other team traveled across the entire country and lost the previous week by 30 points

v-shasty, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:25 (twelve years ago) link

for those reasons and more....

cad, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:27 (twelve years ago) link

Yet, only four people chose Seattle in pick'em this week (and I only changed my pick to Seattle about 3 hours before kickoff).

Johnny Fever, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:32 (twelve years ago) link

the only truly safe bet is anti-lions on thanksgiving. not ttly srs, but ive made a killing on that game in recent years that it really stands out /degenerate

j crunchwrap supreme, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:32 (twelve years ago) link

i took Seattle, go me

Andy Reid seriously must be trying to get fired at this point. Nearly all his decisions have been terrible. How the hell is Vince Vince Vince flinging it over and over when you have one of the best RB's in the game?

Rolo Tony, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:35 (twelve years ago) link

like, if you want a clinic in how not to use your timeouts, just watch Andy Reid

i took them but didn't go as hard as i should have on confidence points.

cad, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:41 (twelve years ago) link

so i only watched a quarter of this in the end but ye gods vince was throwing some ugly balls. maybe ppl can stfu about his win-loss record now. everyone concerned would've been so much better off if kolb had stayed at the eagles, football-wise at least. i am sure he doesn't mind getting paid a fortune to sit the bench somewhere else.

horseshoe loves tom brady, Friday, 2 December 2011 15:59 (twelve years ago) link

also, seattle D looking busier than recent times. and i didn't see any of the really magic from marshawn but i wonder if he is really back for good, because that would be a huge deal for them. he still has 4 or 5 years of prime time. they've clearly gotta dig up a QB in the offseason tho. it's almost enough to get you wondering if maybe pete carroll isn't terrible after all. maybe.

That 3rd quarter lollipop that Hawthorne picked sort of defines VY for me -- not only was Young's head not in the game, I don't think his head is/was in football, period.

Home from work today and finally watching the Belichick "Football Life" thing. LOL pirate costume.

I for one would take Vince over Kolb

you clearly haven't had to have Vince qb your favorite team for several years

no, I've had Drew Brees

Why he was chowing down on Skittles after the play -- especially when he had an upset stomach -- was a different story. Lynch has said that his mom used to feed him the candy in high school, and the tradition has continued to his day. Touchdown? Skittles. That's not something you normally see during an NFL game.

http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/810970/skittles2_medium.gif

Running back Justin Forsett(notes), Lynch's teammate going all the way back to their days together at Cal, said hypothesized after the game that Lynch may indeed derive some kind of mystical power from the candy, and that an endorsement deal would be the only fair gesture in return.

Good news, America -- according to Darren Rovell of CNBC, the Skittles people have offered Lynch a two-year supply of the candy and a custom dispenser for his locker as a gesture of gratitude for all the product placement.

oh, you'll find a way.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 4 December 2011 18:27 (twelve years ago) link

besides, sparano might still be the fins coach.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 4 December 2011 18:27 (twelve years ago) link

and why not? we're leading 6 -- 0, and our mighty quarterback has already amassed almost 40 passing yards in the first half alone.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 4 December 2011 18:36 (twelve years ago) link

can't believe how tebow willed that pick 6 into happening

cad, Sunday, 4 December 2011 18:38 (twelve years ago) link

wow i'm not sure if this is legal, but rolando mcclain just missed a tackle... and it appeared that he held a gun to reggie bush's head? waiting for a replay

v-shasty, Sunday, 4 December 2011 18:39 (twelve years ago) link

carson palmer just threw a horrendous pick on 3rd and 29, luckily for him the dolphins got flagged for illegal hands to the face. yes, on 3rd and 29. giving the raiders a first down.

v-shasty, Sunday, 4 December 2011 18:48 (twelve years ago) link

also kyle orton just came in for the chiefs and apparently broke his finger on the first play
