My last two pairs of shoes were both Dansko clogs - one in shiny black cabrio leather and one in brown suede. I fear hardcore footwear mockery should I ever meet Laurel or Ally in all my comfort-shoe wearing in person glory.

I'm actually a big fan of my backless white Dansko clogs for summer! They're clunky and Hummel-footed with bare legs, and WHITE WHITE WHITE for that crisp look. And they make me about two inches taller without being heels.

I like those polka dot shoes Ally, I don't think the sole thing would show when they're on the feet. I bought the black ones. I'm wearing them with thick black tights, an orange 60s-style mini-dress and a black polo neck.

They are possibly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn in my life. And they are good quality/easily repairable so you can keep them for a long time.

yeah! a bit of a challenge to walk in but not as bad as you'd think. and I guess since the last ones went on sale or something they aren't making any more tara subkoff for easy spirit shoes? too bad.. though they're awfully expensive.. I got mine about 50% off. saw some girl outside indebleu sat night who had a grey platform pair, they were awesome

Yeah, I went and saw those when they had come out (not those specifically, Tara Subkoff I mean) but it was way too much, especially for shopping at a store I always swore I'd never purchase from purely on the basis of hating their old ads...they were a lot of cute though :(

no, sorry: i bet you can buy any pair of rockports and they are just as comfortable and may look a 1000 times better

actually, for less money i could have bought two (three, really) pairs of rockports in the two different sizes my feet are and picked out the right size shoe for each foot from each pair, and they still wouldn't be as comfortable as the ones i got. also, you can tell that their dress shoes, unlike the sub-dress stuff they do best, are pretty much shite without even touching them.

if they're made well that's a typical price isn't it? most of the shoes i wear except trainers were over $300 originally (but I got them all either on big sale or abroad back when the exchange rate was really good)

i don't like the kind with that weird ankle sock thing tho.

my feet are 1/2 size apart. the rockport almost-dress things (which are pretty good shoes) fit well enough, but i can't quite get away with those any more. for real dress shoes, there's a mid-range brand that's hit or miss for me, but after i walked through my last pair of those i decided i didn't want to deal anymore.

of course not. however, when the snow's off the roads and paths but they are still icy for weeks, it'd be stupid to walk around in heels with no traction, and i am getting sick of wearing my sneakers all the time.

emergency boot shopping this afternoon, as it turns out that i left my beloved tecnica moonboots in oh. i found a decent lookalike, although not quite as warm or comfortable (tecnica rules), and a pair of deeply discounted black suede slip-on vans as a bonus. i'm pretty happy.

I actually have thigh-high boots (though not cheap vinyl ones like that) that I have never, ever worn because, really, I don't have a very good reason to be parading around in things like that. Waste of a significant chunk of money, so far.
