A New Castle man called 911 emergency dispatchers this week to report he had been insulted.
Police were sent to the 27-year-old man's home, in the 400 block of South 18th Street, about 2 p.m. Sunday.
In a report, an officer said he told the man "it is not criminal that his girlfriend's mother calls him names and not to continue calling 911 to make reports."
On Monday morning, New Castle police were sent to a home in the 1400 block of South 18th Street after dispatchers received a report of a juvenile refusing to take a bath.
"Handled at scene," was the responding officer's concise report.
Elsewhere in Henry County, a rural Middletown woman called 911 about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to report a disturbing sight: A juvenile, clad in a tank top and shorts, "with a chain around (his) neck, dragging a cement block."
A Middletown officer determined the alleged victim was actually an "adult working out."
