Tonight for dinner: chard, prepared in vegetable soup stock, which was then reduced and combined with other ingredients to create a ginger sweet and sour sauce. Plus scallions on top. Also, toasted baguette slices with melted provolone and a not-bad red table wine (not pictured):

That looks so good, Ned.

I just got back from a long holiday so there was nothing much in the fridge.

Yesterday, toast for breakfast, egg sandwich for lunch, went for Japanese for dinner - had a bento box with chicken teriyaki, assorted veg tempura, salmon sashimi, miso soup and green tea.

Today - just toast so far. Going out for groceries in a bit.

Today I am healthy (sort of):
Fruit smoothie with watermelon, psyllium, blueberries, strawberries, canteloupe, yogurt, juice.
It's early. I am going to make eggs (omelette) with avocado and mozzarella and then go to the 10 a.m. movie in Northampton - where they serve FREE popcorn/coffee/soda - and finally see "Pan's Labyrinth".
It might be a downhill slide from now on.

Yesterday, before giving up junk food for Lent:

Cheeseburger with pepperjack and ... um, the Italian cheese I was using up that I don't remember the name of now.

Chicken wings marinated in Tabasco sauce for two days, baked until crispy, drizzled with butter and sprinkled with more hot sauce

Cadbury Royal Dark Mini-Eggs (these are not all that good compared to regular mini-eggs, I was eating them on principle)

Peanuts in Coca-Cola

Dr Pepper

One Whoopie Pie

(Non junk: undressed salad of lettuce and cucumbers, pretzels)

This morning yoghurt (with vitamin C sugary sauce)

Lunch: baked potatos, veggies (brocc. carrots..), a little sausage and a bacon-burger and some mayonaise.

Tonight: probably broccoli soup or something.

Somewhere during the day: yoghurt-raisins. Or what's left of it.

Lots of water.
