I have several of those bookshelf magazine holders for keeping the archives of the magazine I work on -- they're better for getting at archived stuff more quickly as long as you have the shelf space for them, but they're not stackable at all, not a good solution for long term storage of a huge amt of paper. Also much more expensive than mag boxes, which are great for long term storage, stack 'em in a closet and forget 'em. Maybe get a couple of silica gel packets for each box if you live in a damp climate. For a half full box, slouching paper can be a problem, but I stuck old t-shirts that I'd outgrown into the box to hold the magazines upright.
