Yes! I was surprised that I hadn't actually heard that this year. Unless the mister has surreptitiously played it - he's at least as big a Ghost Box fan as me, if not even more.

That Suun album actually came out back in 2010 in the States, its hit or miss tbh. Some really great tracks, but a lot of filler iirc.

Fucking awesome. Its a side project of a Wooden Shjips dude, but more emphasis on keyboards. Some fucking jams on that new album.

Yeah, I really like the Moon Duo record. Don't dig the Doors-isms of Wooden Shjips, but MD are groovy synthy shiz.

Meh, I liked the WS album this year more than the MD album

I liked them both, but I felt like the Shjips record was them on cruise control - fine, but nothing they hadn't done already. The Moon Duo record was a leap from the previous stuff though, but he best thing they did this year was "Sickener" on the Horror Tour thing.

still think he's maybe one of the artists i've discovered in the past 14 months who's most blown me away but if i was to put together a list of reasons/tracks why, the album would not constitute many of them.

Pistol Annies album is so tuff.
