I’ve got the wiggly-giggles today,

And I just can’t sit still.

My teacher says she’ll have to find

A stop-me-wiggle pill.

I’ve got the giggly-giggles today;

I couldn’t tell you why.

But if Mary hiccups one more time

I’ll giggle till I cry.

I’ve got to stamp my wiggles out

And hold my giggles in,

Cause wiggling makes me giggle

And gigglers never win.

I found an awesome cache of teenage photos this weekend (incl smile-less stupid haircut senior pics, one from "disco night" 1994, all of which with hilarious long hair, etc), will attempt to scan and upload later this week when back at momz's house.

hanging out at dunkin donutz, it turns out, is not actually that much fun. the french crullers are good tho (and fun to order w/heavy boston accent). cutting one's finger w/butterfly knife while bewildered by lsd is rather strange. finally getting banned is kind of a relief.

is that friendly's you don't eat @? i used to go to the one near my school all the time.

jhoshea (jhoshea), Monday, 4 December 2006 19:25 (seventeen years ago) link

no it says i don't eat my friends, doesn't it?

jhoshea (jhoshea), Monday, 4 December 2006 19:26 (seventeen years ago) link

ha

apron says "i dont eat my freinds" like the shirt morrisey wears in some video....that was our fake "hardline" band called vegan justice leage...songs include a fast terrible cover of "were not gonna take it" with words changed to "were not gonna eat meat" other "hits" included "our freind the cow" and some song about the butcher...we played once for like 25 minutes and cause some huge issue cause people thought we were serious and or making fun of vegans...(though i dont think any of us ate meat then...)

that said, i worked at a freindly's once...and no, i will never do that again.

helping a friend move this weekend, noticed that the title of his high school yearbooks was THE WINGED BEAVER. apparently, the same imaginary beast was also their mascot.

mind, boggled! still, it beats the shit out of my school mascot. GO QUAKERS. uh... i mean... GO "EARTHQUAKERS."

PPlains (PPlains), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 17:52 (seventeen years ago) link

I was perving on gramps a little bit, too, but in a friendly, appreciative way that takes in how fresh they both look, and wonders who they are at that point -- these two sunny, handsome young people who aren't history yet.

Andrew, they're peaky in the middles, that nice arch in the outer corners. It makes you look like yr up to something.

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 20:02 (seventeen years ago) link

grampa and gramma lived in the Valley in LA in the 50s. gramps was at one point in a gang called the Lizards. he sang me the song. it was pretty epic. everything was a thinly veiled sexual metaphor. one of the other gangs in the area was called the Vardons. he corrected my use of shank as a verb. it should be shiv, like duh.

i've posted this elsewhere, but here's my dad's dad from somewhere in the mid 20s. he was like 15. pro piano player. had like 3 gigs a night. my nana was a professional dancer and they met performing.

i always think these things when i see pics of my grandparents in their 20s... minus the perving and wondering stuff (cause i know how they became who they are/were now). wish i had this awesome pic of me gran (/garu g) lounging on this boat in her youth... it's so awesomely perfect and complete with awesome old timey bathing suit!

Front lip pointy in front like snapping turtle, but the comparison would be more evident if that photo weren't ginormous.
