MN ugly is usually named Lori or Barb, thinks two beers = OMG 12-step time and has a really good recipe for BARS. I blame copious amounts of starch.

I went into Club Monaco yesterday. I really need some new work skirts but cannot fathom the idea of stepping into an Ann Taylor. Help? Hint: Club Monaco's skirts weren't very practical and were hugely overpriced yesterday. :(

Was considering banana republic but last skirt I bought there was all...bunchy, for lack of better word??

Club Monaco's pricing is totally arbitrary for some reason. Sometimes it's like "hey these $40 pants are awesome" and then you go the next week and it's like "I swear those same pants are now $140".

Ally, there must be something higher quality than BR but not Ann Taylor hell. When N. was home she was rocking some nice JJs and it pains me she can fit into size 27-waist skinny jeans after two kids. She is v. auburn and loves Ampersand and a lot of mid-range stuff, won't go to Gap etc. She's a pregnoid again (!!!) so I sent her linx to Topshop for the maternity page.

Went to Nordstrom yesterday to fill my tank full of Kiehl's and did a detour through the shoes. Would imagine the stock at Mall of America just as shitey as DC as was all GAH! no YSL, no perilous high Marc Jacobs, no this, no that, no wai. Ah well, back to London and office full of look-but-don't-touch 5" Louis Vuitton platform boots IN MY SIZE which is the reg. sample size. Rez 2007: proper discounts and purchasing ability AT THE SAME TIME. Am so glad my job practically begs one to wear "bizarre" clothes to work.

A couple of months ago I was having lunch at the bar at Corduroy and these two middle age blonde women came in and one ordered the penne w/o garlic and the other ordered the penne w/o sausage. I thought they were making a terrible choice at a restaurant of that caliber but at the same time I thought, hey, they're probably staying at the hotel for a convention and don't know any better.

Today I was there for lunch again and the same damn ladies make the same damn order. Was it appropriate for me to be outraged? I mean, it's like going to Birreria and getting a Miller Lite. And then returning for the same.
