i was relieved but not really ecstatic so i was actually pretty close to flat but that's just how i am. i was pretty sure i passed before but a tiny bit worried i might not have.

gonna be workin with omar little and friends at jail for a few months. kinda scared but mostly excited.
still got interview on tuesday and was rudely reminded by email i only have 2 of 3 reference letters in. i knew that because my third and most important person seems to have disappeared or retired. uh oh.

interview was ok, felt like i bungled some qns but i dunno. i'm sure everyone does and they were nice people. you get a score that tells whether you move on to bonus round. i might make up for it in on-paper stuff and recommendations i guess

thanks estela. actually today i feel more worried about it :(. i hate interviews. i get too nervous and do not give thoughtful answers like i would normally because i am pretty thoughtful normally. not like they have any jobs for me anyway though. most of the hiring will be in rural areas because they have fewer attorneys in those offices, if one leaves they have to hire someone else. i really want to work in the city and don't want to relocate to appalachia so much. gahhhhhh

i passed first round but i have to wait for a vacancy somewhere to get second round :(

that's good! and while you wait you can do stuff you like that you won't have time for post-vacancy.

i got a letter about a 2nd round interview but i'm conflicted because it's in another county and i want to stay here and i wonder if it means they will be hiring here soon. i love the ppl in the office i'm in now a lot (i'm working there because i got a grant to "volunteer" so i'm not an official hire yet) and i want to stay. maybe i should ask my boss and boss's boss what they think.

no other place would be as perfect as here for the following reasons:

• jail is a 5 min walk from my house
• people hate every cop here, you win all the time
• everyone and everything is funny and intersting

also my boss is a hilarious gay and i made a best lawyer friend in the office <3333333

i encourage thee to ask your boss and your boss's boss what they think. they might be able to help you stay there where you are happy, which is the idea.

i am gonna email the hiring committee lady and say i am doing this interview but i would like to know if any openings are coming here. they are all on the same budget so it should be true imo. also called to schedule this interview & left message. either way money will be made soon, i hope.

well in my inimitable encouraging way i feel like it is too and i am glad.

finally talked to the lady and she told me the reason they are able to hire is they got a grant to hire one person on a contract basis.....................meaning no benefits and no union. gonna interview for it anyway because i gotta. i bet a lot of people want it too SUXXXXX

i just feel despondent about life

i got a thin letter about that job today but it just said they're going to interview for it in may
still waiting to hear back from other job i'm supposed to interview for after they get the funding. i get home from jail too late to call sometimes. gotta make myself do it.

other than that i am doing 1 or 2 trials tomorrow and i am scared and not v confident but my gay boss said one of the cops i'm talking to is cute lol
