well it depends on the time, give me a call! if yr going to big hunt or similarly close venue I might stop by but it depends on time + whether or not Tom and ZR decided to lite it up at jam session today.

finger is ok though it just bled a little again (can see thru band aid). It seemed to be knitting up last night but now I dunno.

Well a friend just sent a thing that sounded...not necessarily cool but at least vaguely fun in a LNS kind of way, and it would've had unlimited ANYTHING bar and food and it was at the French Embassy! DOWNSIDE: COSTS 8 JILLION DOLLARS PER PERSON??? What on earth. At least they give you very high quality drink and food. Big Hunt is $70 for unlimited rail vodka and their house beers??? Fuck you, I'd have to really be in for getting trashed as shit to make that worth my while considering your house beers are $3 each. I mean I'd have to drink 25 beers. And even I would be unable to procure a result with that goal.

Fuck that shit. I in a quandary between going out to Cheltenham for a chilled out dinner and a pissup, poptimism, going to norfolk with my dad or a dirty warehouse party. Looking back over the last few years I think I've spent more NYE's with my parents than anyone else, which, I think says a lot about how I feel about NYE.

I'd like to go somewhere with girls, where I can show off my sale purchases.

It is so overrated. It is the holiday of the huge cover charge and crap line up. It hink I've only paid 1 cover charge in the last 8 years. Low key is the way to go, (although free passes to whatever sounds good too).

NYE in Japan is really nice. Quiet and reflective. Eat special food, watch pop singers on TV, and then go to a shine and throw coins over peoples' heads.

I will be in NY this year. Hopefully I can convince Carey's dog, Peter Jennings, to give me a kiss at midnight.

OMG did any of you in DC, none of whom seem to really be around today, see the ad in Express by the DOH for smoke free DC??? It's like a pile of douchebags, really explicitly!! Lobby dude bitching about his suit being smokey, girl with LNS super-flatted hair going on about how much she spent and now she won't have to have her expensive hair smell (uh do you not shower?), and best, a TOTALLY DRUNK LOOKING SORORITY TYPE bitching about respiratory problems (while talking to a man who, quite honestly, looks like cgi superimposed into the picture??). HAHAHAHA it is pretty much awesome.

DOH: Let's not try to entice the homebodies who are avoiding bars, let's just show the very same people who are in the bars, and are always the people who stagger up to your table drunk off their ass begging for 'JUST ONE SMOKE, PLEASE, OMG I NEVER SMOKE'

also there is a mandatory little kid panel, a la the NYC smoking ban where all the ads initially focused on how good it would be for the children. Who are in bars for god knows what reason.

They're just kind of mind-blowing to me. They're the ones that complain the most about how they "reek of smoke" but they're definitely the first to consider it totally acceptable to go up to a stranger and bum smokes, sometimes multiples, because they "don't smoke but just this one time." So it cracks me up that they are the poster children for the smoke free DC ad.
