WOAH SONNED IN A TANK BEEF

(all-morning training session simultaneously suck and rule, btw)

Jesus Dan (dan perry), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:25 (seventeen years ago) link

my stomach has been giving me grief since last night. was it the dinner I made?

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Tuesday, 5 December 2006 15:31 (seventeen years ago) link

Sam - feel better. It wasn't the dinner you made. It was GERMS. (Disclaimer: diagnosis might be completely wrong.) Dan - I hope you're better!

J. has a cold and she seems to have croup. This is the conversation I woke up to, for your entertainment:

J: Mom! I had a waffle for breakfast and I sneezed and I coughed and goop came out of my NOSE.

Me: (sympathetically) Oh, yuck!

J: No, COOL!

Okay, my Dad just called me to tell me that he sent me an email. Does anyone else's parent still not quite grasp the notion of email?

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Wednesday, 6 December 2006 01:46 (seventeen years ago) link

Dude, SaILo got a MySpace message about that.
I deleted it...
I mean, we wouldn't have gotten in, wouldn't have made it to the air, wouldn't have won, and wouldn't have gotten paid(they'd probably pull us off the stage once Al3X started talking about giving everyone AIDS).

In any case, EVERYONE but Whiskey Dick was AWEFUL.
13th Step has a FOLLOWING?
ONE CHORD BULLSHIT with UGLY UGLY people.

The band oafter that was LITERALLY one chord bullshit with a plastic diggerydoo player.
That's when rahb and I left.

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Thursday, 7 December 2006 14:29 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm so sorry Sam. The whole situatin just sucks. I hope your "favorite" clients dodged out on you...

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 7 December 2006 16:48 (seventeen years ago) link

my two meetings actually went very well. I'm tremendously pleased as I needed some goodness today.

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:25 (seventeen years ago) link

Hello everyone...sorry I've been MIA of late, been fixing cars and doing mod battle on IMM. Hows tricks?

John Justen wants to hit you in the head with a pipewrench. (John Justen), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:31 (seventeen years ago) link

Apologies also for my MIA but that's about to be rectified BIGSTYLE as am home for three weeks in one week's time.

suzy artskooldisko (suzy artskooldisko), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:37 (seventeen years ago) link

Sam - glad your meetings went so well! What a great suprise!

John - how's your car doing? Did you have your finger re-attached?

Suzy - YAY, you're coming HOME!!! (Christ, it's cold, though.)

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:42 (seventeen years ago) link

My car is much better. Unfortunately, due to the cost of replacing the radiator, Christmas is cancelled. BLARGH.

John Justen wants to hit you in the head with a pipewrench. (John Justen), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:45 (seventeen years ago) link

Ugh, I'm sorry. That sucks. MONEY sucks (at least when you have less than you need. Or want.) All that being said, I think you will still come up with some Christmas.

Case in point: the year A. and I moved into an actual house, he switched jobs - and there was a month or so when we didn't have enough money to do anything but pay the mortgage payment. In December. Oh yeah, and we had a new baby, too! We still had Christmas, though - and I don't think we used credit cards, either... You just have to get a little more creative. And you can do that for sure, if anyone can. And that's the end of my pep talk.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:48 (seventeen years ago) link

Am planning the whole packing business. HOW COLD?

suzy artskooldisko (suzy artskooldisko), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:50 (seventeen years ago) link

It's currently 7 degrees in Northfield. Last night A. came to bed and said that the temp had dropped from 12 degrees to zero pretty quickly. When I was outside in St. Paul at about 10 pm, the wind sucked, too. So it could be colder... but it's still pretty cold already.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:52 (seventeen years ago) link

Pack LAYERS!

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 7 December 2006 17:53 (seventeen years ago) link

No, I'm paid in pounds sterling so the mission is BUY LAYERS innit - exchange pretty much two bucks to the pound. Vintage emporia of MN, PHEAR ME.

suzy artskooldisko (suzy artskooldisko), Thursday, 7 December 2006 18:11 (seventeen years ago) link

Okay, just wear layers here and bring an empty suitcase to take back. (Also, you have made me jealous. But still, yay!)

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Thursday, 7 December 2006 18:16 (seventeen years ago) link

I was in the mood to clean out my closet. On one shelf, I found, amongst other things:

1. West Side Story t-shirt (yes, from high school)
2. the ND t-shirt I brought home from Indiana with the legend "SEX KILLS" on the front and "...so come to Notre Dame and live forever" on the back
3. t-shirt from Lollapalooza... the first one.
4. a hideous pair of pajamas that A. says I "used to wear in college"

I'm actually afraid to go to the next shelf now.

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Friday, 8 December 2006 00:48 (seventeen years ago) link

Minneapolis is a pox on the planet earth and should be wiped out at all costs.
One hour driving in circles and not one open parking space. Spaces that SHOULD be parking spaces are blocked by ....A DOOR.
A fucking DOOR.

THAT is why that city once had(still does have?) the highest per-capita murders.
45 minutes into that I was ready to kill anyone.
HATE.
On the streets of Minneapolis I slowly build a deep-seated hatred of all things around me until I'd prefer a multi-kiloton device to blast everything(FUCKING STREETS THAT FORCE YOU TO GO PLACES YOU DON'T WANT TO) into a fine mist than to spend other minute there.

St. Paul generally fills me with a soothing peaceful feeling, but Grand Ave. seems to want to be Minneapolis really bad. "Fuck you! You'll never park! HAHAHAHA! Another stop light!!! Want to do something here? TOO BAD! Some guy is stopping you from going to your favorite restaraunt!! AND IT'S HIS JOB!!!"
But it's still better than Minneapolis.
Why? Because YOU CAN LEAVE GRAND AVE.
I can't get out of Minneapolis(save the city center after midnight) in under 30 minutes.
"WANT TO GET TO THE HIGHWAY!?? TOO BAD! THIS ROAD SUDDENLY CURVES!! Now...3 ONE WAY STREETS THAT FORCE YOU TO GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME OR GO FURTHER AWAY FROM YOUR GOAL!!!"

In St. Paul, there are at least 2 ways to get anywhere.
In Minneapolis there's one.
Then you don't get to park.

DOOM.

I feel better now.

Geza T (The GZeus), Friday, 8 December 2006 03:27 (seventeen years ago) link

I can handle Grand Avenue (parking is another matter entirely) and some parts of St. Paul. And even some sections of Mpls. But downtown Mpls... no. And you kind of hit on why. I can get in, but I can't get back out. I don't care how great a place is, I want to get home someday!

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Friday, 8 December 2006 04:52 (seventeen years ago) link

Oh, and parades make me hate Christmas, and always have.
"Hey, Adam, your sisters sitting on a float, freezing her ass off because she happens to be in some group, or choir or something. Let's go freeze our asses off, too."
"........are you serious?"

That's why I couldn't park.
or drive
or go 5 minutes without talking myself down from aother panic attack.

A goddamned parade.
"Come on, kids! I want to feel like I'm giving you special memories because I've long forgotten how uncomfortable I was at these events. Let's go look at christmas lights that aren't as well done as the guys down the street! The best part!? You don't have(get) to move!"

I'm gonna eat a roast beef sandwich and take some calcium.
Maybe my bloodlust will settle down.

I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL JAPANESE CHRISTMAS.
ONE WEEK OF SHOPPING.
1.5 DAYS OF CELEBRATION.
IT'S OK TO GET DRUNK AT THE PARTY...WITH YOUR FAMILY.
NO (serious) CHRISTIANS TO FUCK THINGS UP.

Joyous YULEtide, everyone.
I wish I had some fucking booze right about now.
(I'd think I was chemically imbalanced with the number of people that have been pissing me off, but none of my friends are annoying me, nor are the people I meet at asian restaraunts, homes, or parties. I think I hate Americans...and the swedish. Never met a swede I liked. Sorry. CUlture clash)

Jesus Dan (dan perry), Friday, 8 December 2006 14:53 (seventeen years ago) link

Yay Dan! Good luck!!!

I think that trumps my evening plans of taking a lab practical test and then going out to dinner with D34n and R0bb13...

So Dan, we expect you to report back with how it went, okay?

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Friday, 8 December 2006 16:51 (seventeen years ago) link

Plus until I sell these:

I'm kinda broke.
Are my prices great? Nah, but I know two things: they work perfectly, and I have great customer service policies.

Geza T (The GZeus), Saturday, 9 December 2006 01:46 (seventeen years ago) link

Your auctions look great, but I have no clue about prices (soooo not my area).

I'm waiting with bated breath to hear about Dan's house party gig last night!

HOW DO I SHOT 5:30 AM

Jesus Dan (dan perry), Saturday, 9 December 2006 18:25 (seventeen years ago) link

Well, then! That sounds successful. I think...

I am now on a mad mission to find that photo I told you about in my email. I can't find the album it's in. But I know it's here somewhere!

Sara Robinson-Coolidge (Sara R-C), Saturday, 9 December 2006 18:27 (seventeen years ago) link

I try to amke good aution-ness.
The problem with me doing an electronics auction is electronics work one way.
All I can talk about is what's wrong with it, then say "everything else works correctly"
if it doesn't work right, it basically doesn't WORk...

Geza T (The GZeus), Saturday, 9 December 2006 18:32 (seventeen years ago) link

if it doesn't work right, it basically doesn't WORk...

There's my problem with electronics, right there! Cuz I'm too clueless to figure out fixes.

Dan, I found the picture. It's... uh... contrast-y.

I decorated one of our CACTUSES yesterday. It's actually kind of sad looking 'cause he's a little guy and the ornaments are a bit too much. I'll post a picture when I put some more presents under it.

Today's my birfday and I'm in a suprisingly good mood. I think it might just be the coffee though since I'm normally debbie downer about celebratory type things.

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Monday, 11 December 2006 14:25 (seventeen years ago) link

Happy birthday Sam! I hope it continues to be a good day for you. :)

I can't wait to see your Christmas cactus!
