The worst of all bummers. Mine didn't cost me much (relatively - $700 fine, $300 lawyer-friend discount), but the whole thing was fucked (double-fucked because I was under 21 - over 21 I could have pled down). Also spent a little time in teh jail because I had chronic breathing problems and couldn't complete my community service/work release.

It kept me from drinking at all for almost three years and I won't even look at booze if there's a chance I'll drive.

114a. the wife chewing me out for buying her presents for the holidays. never in my freakin life would i have thought that "Don't buy me anything this year" would result in bullshit if i chose to ignore it. one of the gifts: a $20 travel guide to flippin ethiopia... she wants more than anything to adopt a little girl from there and i've been totally weirded out by another kid, etc etc... but finally have sorta come around... and this was my way of telling her. fuck. score zero for sweetness.

in her defense, her thinking of course is, "bastard keeps spending money we need to go to ethiopia!"

114b. spending the rest of your life with ANYBODY = pita. (at least occasionally.) ((okay, maybe more than occasionally, but... ))

Oy, the most annoying part of the party was there was a past make-out accomplice there who made a point of telling me he's started seeing someone and then walked away. Uh, get over yourself and have a conversation with me, we're at a friend's birthday party, fer chrissake?

Laurel (Laurel), Sunday, 3 December 2006 05:22 (seventeen years ago) link

Otherwise it was lovely; we drank wine out of bottles and danced to soul records in the smoking room and I just caught the last bus home for the next 45 minutes. I even cut the birthday cake CARLY-STYLE, thanks to her Monday night lessons.

I am sober as a church mouse, I've only downed a few too many chips ahoys and some peppermint tea. I took a nap thinking I was going out later but then cancelled, so I'm a little bouncing off the counters right now. I might watch another movie.
