i liked last night's grand harbor or old english or whatever it was. i mean it was not el dorado 15, but that's not really a fair comparison.

pretty good, kinda sweeter than i'm used to. the bottle sux! it looks nice but its hard to pour w/out spilling

it does sux! but i am def a fan of the shorty bottles.

i am drinking some of jergins' fancypants el dorado on account of (somehow) feeling like i deserve it because i drove around and around and hither and yon and could not find art primo store and so just came home. so lame.

how do i pour it with 0% spillage? is there a trick or am i stupid

should have got something else with it as this is something i'll probably drink every so often. i was eyeing mt gay, barbancourt, 10 cane and johnny walker

maybe the cloth ribbon is there to catch the spillage and you're supposed to wring it out into your glass

anyway back to the important topic: you should totally buy mt gay. is tops.

10 cane is super sweet and flowery and it'll make you sugar-high.

barbancourt, okay but not great i guess cause we didn't keep buying it.

i never had johnny walker but jergins likes it.

the lol/important part is According to a reader, Rum and Tab is a good twist on the classic Rum and Coke.

it is precisely because of dumb college drinking of rum and tab that i couldn't drink rum for years and years. probably also had a lot to do with the quality of the rum. and college. and dumb.

cruzan black strap is good. one of the best values you can find. seriously, even though it sounds totally corny.

chub rock bottle rolls around tum yum

my grandparents only drink mt gay

always on the rocks with club soda and a lime, only when its hot out

they are nearly perfect.

iced coffee w/ rum: y/n?

dunno. gonna try it though... sounds good.

if i like it i'll have to start a new thread called the one and only RUM and coffee coffee coffee appreciation thread.

i just threw some anniversario into cup and some seltzer mixed with the remnants of the coffee and ice (more specifically, sweet thai iced coffee). its good!

well jesus, anything with thai coffee is gonna be good, and anniversario, of course.

why isn't there a thai restaurant in my neighborhood???

Iced Jamaican Coffee

An iced version of the popular Jamaican coffee cocktail. It's a nicely creamy iced coffee, with the smooth warmth of dark rum and Tia Maria.
Ingredients:

* 1 oz dark rum
* 1 oz Tia Maria
* 3/4 oz heavy cream
* 4 oz chilled coffee
* Crushed ice

Preparation:
Combine liqueurs, coffee and cream. Partially fill a wine glass with crushed ice, and pour mixture over ice. Serve.

i just made up a recipe:

~8 oz. hot black coffee
1 shot dark rum
half and half to taste

calling it "The Needful."
and now i will do it.
