Moving Day

omg this is hard.

i have too much stuff to move again by myself so i am trying to purge. like i can definitely get rid of all my textbooks and some other books. and eat the canned food i was hoarding. but then what?

ditch the sex toys, drug paraphernalia, fat clothes, 10 year old shoes, jr high mash notes, vcr, mormon bible, color-by-numbers paintings (that was a phase, wasn't it), jane goodall video, and extra forks. that should lighten your load.

lots of shoes to ditch.
i am really torn about books/notes because a lot of it is stuff i may need to reference in the future? but it's too time consuming to go through it ALL and figure out what's REALLY important.

i was actually considering getting rid of my plates and bowls i bought as a set from target in 2004. it was $10 for 4 complete place settings. i can eat off my one melamine plate and bowl. i could also get rid of all forks and spoons except just one set lol. not like i cook for anyone ever!

actually, the shipping part is easy because ups can pick up from my house and drop off to new house. it's just the packing. and needing of boxes.

saw not one but TWO people in my train car tonight with stacks of boxes.

i said no, but kinda regretting it now.

is there a liquor store near where you love? they should have tons of wine boxes.

be around other people that are interesting, preferably not just women. that way you will be automatically thinking about something else. be adventurous. if you are high on adrenalin, it is less likely that you will be horny because you are stimulating your parasympathetic nervous system. (you get horny when your sympathetic nervous system is at work)

i hope when i move i will be a socially active

the first six months in a new city have always been the most difficult for me, no matter how many people i knew or how prepared i felt

yeah i feel kind of lonesome also my head itches

somehow i feel like my first 6 months in new york were easyish and then everything got really hard later on.
i do not expect that will happen this time around, though.

harbl, i know someone who would be yr friend (sorry if that is creepy!).

my parents are not really helping w/ the productivity.
i ran out of boxes.

you girls with your box woes. if you lived here you could join The Box Collective. it goes like this: you store your boxes in my basement till you need them again, or till another member needs them. there are always enough boxes for everyone! tehresa, you should join when you get here. harbl, you should start one of your own.
