Last night a union guy was sat in my section and we talked unions and I told him about going to New Orleans, etc. I told him that in the wake of Katrina Bush repealed the Davis-Bacon act which says that workers who work on government-contracted jobs must be paid the prevailing wage for their area (NO=around $15/hour, I think). Do you know that he said that that was probably not a bad idea?!

traipsing out into the sunshiny world with a hangover is hard enough anywhere, but it's especially unpleasant when you have to deal with the Loop first thing in the morning. Loud and people-y.

my worst hangover involved puking into the mississippi river at 11:45 a.m. in new orleans along the river walk amongst a throng of tourists. some southern belle/sorority type actually gasped and pointed at me while i was hurling. i put both hands on the railing, steadied myself, turned towards her and her friends and just said "YEAH!" then tried again to get back to my hotel.

it kinda was, kinda wasn't. at the time it was only like the second time i'd ever puked from drinking. we'd started in massachusetts about 31 hours before and went straight through, it was when my body was no longer able to tolerate the abuse i put it through when i was in my early 20s.

It's ugly, but I always love the cries of "OMG I CAN'T READ FONT!!!!!" Yes you can, don't be a jerk. It may not look like what you're used to or what you want it to but you can still read it.

Yeah, you have to re-register and use a real email address for it, because it will email you the password. And then you can change it in preferences later.

I think those people were complaining about the security thing where you have to copy what's in the box to get your password. Which was kind of hard to read.

it look fine. better, actually. the line spacing is better. much easier to read; I don't have to reset my default font to get away from tiny times new roman.

Try Ctrl and "-" or "+" to change the font size. Worked for me.

I like this Sandbox ILX better. It looks exactly like Ye Olde ILX, so the only advantage to the new one, as I can see it, is the archives. Which really aren't all that important on a day-to-day basis.
