i like how every place has different kissing/hugging traditions, so some people kiss, some don't, some kiss on each cheek, some barely hug, it can lead to some amusing feinting and lunging.

i am down for hugging. when j and i went to LA, we were excited to meet the creator/administrator/head-honcho of the bukowski forum we met on; he's an amazingly sharp-witted dude, extremely smart, cutthroat sense of humour, and we both had huge friend crushes on him. we knew we had the 'seal of approval' when he initiated big bear hugs with both us of upon saying goodbye.
i know estela and i definitely hugged goodbye, but i can't remember if we hugged hello? i think so
