listenin to the start now. love how PUMPED Tracer sounds.

sede vacante (blueski), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:09 (seventeen years ago) link

Hahaha god. Our greatest fear was mere competence but I think we missed that mark somewhat. There is NO WAY I am listening to the show again (I say as I download the above link).

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:17 (seventeen years ago) link

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:25 (seventeen years ago) link

ANDY DICK ready for NPR consumption. (I mean that in a very nice way.)

AGGGH I HATE NPR, MICHAEL

HOW DO I SHOT BRITISH ACCENT

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:32 (seventeen years ago) link

Anyway, the panel performed admirably and our studio technician - PETE - who I did not thank on the show because I was too flustered - was a more than a "dab hand" at an unfamiliar mixing board, besides keeping us all on schedule and the other things than an editor does. Big hats off.

Serious about the silly stuff, serious about the silly

No lame reversals for FT! Totally excited to listen to this.

GEEZ LOUIZE, all's I'm saying is you sound really professional 'n' shit but not Clear Channelish -- you keep the pace lively and you don't fill the dead spaces with ums and uhs and urs.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:40 (seventeen years ago) link

Haha I know. I am just still mourning not being born as James Earl Jones. (Who actually had a severe speech impediment for years before overcoming it, so hmm.)

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:43 (seventeen years ago) link

(now i have this irrational fear that wiretap will somehow have picked up me having a conversation while listening, despite fact that it clearly only records what's playing on the computer)
(also it's done that thing where it fucks up yr sound settings so safari is mute, argh)

cis boom bah (cis), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:51 (seventeen years ago) link

you sound good, Tracer!

cis boom bah (cis), Tuesday, 12 December 2006 23:53 (seventeen years ago) link

pop forecast. fair to constant. good.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 15 December 2006 13:38 (seventeen years ago) link

Can you elaborate, Andrew?

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Friday, 15 December 2006 14:38 (seventeen years ago) link

I think you might've misquoted me a bit Tim... I said Harold Wilson was probably the coolest prime minister of my lifetime, not necessarily the best. I demand a retraction!

KeefW (KeefW), Friday, 15 December 2006 18:59 (seventeen years ago) link

I didn't claim you (or I) named HW as the best! I said he was a candidate for best Prime Minister of my lifetime, and surely you aren't about to deny that, eh?
