getting sawyer and kate off the island was pure boilerplate, it really was. in the autumn sixer the flashbacks were rubbish and i liked juliet's, but they still haven't worked out how to deal with all the spare parts on the main island. they should have killed more of them by now. carl's room was roffles.

temporary enrique (temporary enrique), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 10:28 (seventeen years ago) link

Carl's room was more than roffles, it was great. Please to brainwash me Others, it looks like fun :D

Your search - Nathan Barley - did not match any documents in your brain.

Off to google then for me!

jibe (jibe), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 10:47 (seventeen years ago) link

has anyone ascertained the date juliet arrived on the island. if it was three years and change from november 2004, could it have been...?

temporary enrique (temporary enrique), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 10:49 (seventeen years ago) link

oh okay it was 5th sept 01. it would be great if 'lost' did turn out to explain 9/11 in terms of an electromagnetic anomaly though.

temporary enrique (temporary enrique), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 10:56 (seventeen years ago) link

I have seen it speculated that the date of the failsafing hatch meltdown might have been the same date on the LOST calender as the massive tsunami in 04.

nklshs (nklshs), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 14:32 (seventeen years ago) link

nah that was boxing day. they aren't at december yet i don't think

temporary enrique (temporary enrique), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 14:33 (seventeen years ago) link

did turn out to explain 9/11 in terms of an electromagnetic anomaly though

that would suck. if it explains El Nino tho then fair dos.

resumo impetus (blueski), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 14:35 (seventeen years ago) link

i am optimistic re Paolo and Nikki, in that either the writers will enable us to take great pleasure in seeing them be killed off by Island Momus or whoever OR they will actually become good characters somehow. i can't be bothered to actually dislike them.

Damon and Carlton said in their last podcast that they understand the hate for Paolo and Nikki but that pretty soon we'll be thankful for them. Whatever that means.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 14 February 2007 17:37 (seventeen years ago) link

maybe they'll save sawyer's life and then go "WE HAVE TO GO NOW, OUR PLANET NEEDS US" and disappear.

This is my favorite episode in as long as I can remember, partly because it has nothing to do with the main theme and partly because it has everything to do with the main theme!

wait, can someone tell me a few things: what the fuck was tonight's episode about? yes, desmond, but... i am truly confused, maybe because i missed the first 15 minutes b/c of 'the departed' watching?

the table is the table (trees), Thursday, 15 February 2007 04:27 (seventeen years ago) link

From a mile away, he foresees that Claire is about to drown and runs and saves her. Hurley says "That dude can see the future." Charlie's deeply suspicious of this guy and decides to get him drunk to see what he's all about. I think that's what happened at the beginning. Does that help at all?

sundarsubramanian (SundarS), Thursday, 15 February 2007 04:35 (seventeen years ago) link

okay. yes, thank you. those are some BAD cuts in that episode.

next week looks good though.

as a matter of interest (i missed some of the 2nd season)...do they ever find walt?

the table is the table (trees), Thursday, 15 February 2007 04:38 (seventeen years ago) link

You're going to need to rent some DVDs.

i missed cool people island. i wasn't all that thrilled to be on loser island again. i'm beginning to think that i only really care about what happens to sawyer and kate.

scott seward (121212), Thursday, 15 February 2007 04:58 (seventeen years ago) link

wait, next week is the tattoo episode? aw man.

i also missed cool people island. fuck charlie in the face.

giboyojimbo (gbx), Thursday, 15 February 2007 05:00 (seventeen years ago) link

But he's going to die! Don't kick a brutha when he's down like that.

Handgun O. Mendocino (pullapartgirl), Thursday, 15 February 2007 05:18 (seventeen years ago) link

Why would Desmond try so hard to keep Charlie from dying? Charlie can't really be all that important, can he? I mean... think of all the other people Desmond could've saved!

Johnny Fever (johnnyfever), Thursday, 15 February 2007 05:20 (seventeen years ago) link

Am I spelling "McCutcheon whisky" right? I am having no luck with internets.

that bar is HNL's best place to go for godawful live music seven days a week. charlie on the street corner is preferable.

anyway, yay, charlie's gonna die!!!

I was so happy at the end of this episode.

That old lady was totally a timelord, amirite? I kept expecting to see a police call box somewhere in the backround when she was talking to Desmond.

The Many Faces of Gordon Jump (Leon), Thursday, 15 February 2007 15:44 (seventeen years ago) link

This was my favorite episode in a long time. I couldn't stomach another week of Jack, Sawyer, and Kate. Loser Island is the best! But more importantly, they got back to the weirdness. The more they explain about Dharma/Hanzo/Others, the less I care. I really don't understand people who need to know what's going on. When the "Next week on Lost" said they'd be answering some of the island's biggest questions, I thought, "Oh man, this is going to suck."

But I also like Charlie, so I guess I'm in the minority in more than one way.

lindseykai (lindseykai), Thursday, 15 February 2007 15:54 (seventeen years ago) link

The more I think about this episode the more it breaks my heart - very well planned V-Day ep.

nklshs (nklshs), Thursday, 15 February 2007 16:01 (seventeen years ago) link

okay, next week's preview totally excited me! maybe there are two kinds of lost fans? supernatural dreamscape loser island fans and nuts & bolts cage sex cool island fans?

scott seward (121212), Thursday, 15 February 2007 16:05 (seventeen years ago) link

i vote 4 loser island

this is cutty (mcutt), Thursday, 15 February 2007 16:10 (seventeen years ago) link

I like it all. But they're making the show so complicated there's no access point for a new viewer. Maybe they're doing it on purpose to try to get ABC to sign off on four seasons and out. Would the producers sabotage their own ratings?
