what was the occasion Michael? grocery run?

sede vacante (blueski), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:15 (seventeen years ago) link

Xmas party. For groceries, I'd go white tie and tails.

Michael White (Miguelito), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:20 (seventeen years ago) link

MW: swoon!

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:21 (seventeen years ago) link

(that applies to both MWs)

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:23 (seventeen years ago) link

Abbott really does look like me.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:26 (seventeen years ago) link

Hoorah for Identical Ilx0r twins.

teh_kit (g-kit), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:35 (seventeen years ago) link

Abbott really does look like me.

I was thinking this too.

sede vacante (blueski), Monday, 18 December 2006 16:38 (seventeen years ago) link

What are you doing with my glasses, Beth?

Michael White (Miguelito), Monday, 18 December 2006 18:14 (seventeen years ago) link

KING OF CHIC:

Unfortunately, someone seems to be standing in front of him.

StanM (StanM), Monday, 18 December 2006 18:16 (seventeen years ago) link

What are you doing with my glasses, Beth?

Well, I was trying for a teleportation-snatch of your camel-hair coat, but all I could get were the glasses. Not even my prescription.

Beth Parker (Beth Parker), Monday, 18 December 2006 18:28 (seventeen years ago) link

Tissp looks like John Duttine from Day of the Triffids in his picture. And what looks like he's seeing off some journalists who've come to question him about his dodgy double glazing business.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Monday, 18 December 2006 23:18 (seventeen years ago) link

I like to think Louis is standing in his house grounds asking us to turn the camera off, Marquis Of Blandford '94 style.

sede vacante (blueski), Monday, 18 December 2006 23:53 (seventeen years ago) link

and what is such a cutie! You can tell he's a ladykiller.

Leon Czolgosz (Leon), Monday, 18 December 2006 23:59 (seventeen years ago) link

mandee... seductive.

t0dd swiss (immobilisme), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 00:00 (seventeen years ago) link

at the subeditors' christmas lunch on saturday. looking "belligerent" (according to the night editor) or "pissed" (according to everyone else).

http://sparky.thehold.net/pix/061216WDYLL.jpg

there are other pictures - a very good one of stet and me looking grinningly, insanely drunk - but i'm going to leave it for now.

grimly fiendish (simon), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 00:44 (seventeen years ago) link

Yes, I favor that pose too.

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 00:51 (seventeen years ago) link

Onimo - pls tell me all the hilarious things that red-cowboy-hat lady did after getting sloshed.

grady (grady), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 00:52 (seventeen years ago) link

Seconded, a fantastic picture.

nathalie (stevienixed), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 09:38 (seventeen years ago) link

aimurchie (aimurchie), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 09:47 (seventeen years ago) link

Grimly I love that pic :) Really nicely composed!

And aw Jer, why nofor an pic of you? (or did you find a fountain of youth ;p)

http://myspace-612.vo.llnwd.net/00643/21/61/643831612_m.jpg

Reminds me of my Myspace pic, from a band practice session a couple of years ago.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 12:24 (seventeen years ago) link

teh_kit, my long-lost brother! [embraces]

"nicely composed", trayce? oh, sorry: you mean the picture. i thought for a second you meant me :)

as our astonishingly surly picture editor said to stet: "aye, this is the kind of shite i suppose you're quite good at." from him, that is staggering praise. bear in mind, too, that what you're seeing there is a crappy lo-res grab of the original pic. he's no bad, our stet. no bad at all.

nath (and stan, if you're reading): incidentally, that's leffe blonde i'm drinking. the second drink i ever had in a bar was leffe, bought for me and my under-age pals on the franco-belgian border by a table-football-mad truck-driver called jacky, and i've adored it ever since. my sister-in-law is in brussels at the moment and i'm trying to persuade her to bring me back gallons of interesting/hard-to-find belgian beer for xmas. i don't think it's working :(

grimly fiendish (simon), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 12:33 (seventeen years ago) link

I wondered what you had in the girly glass.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 12:48 (seventeen years ago) link

Yay, Belgian beer! You have good taste.

StanM (StanM), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 12:55 (seventeen years ago) link

HOERA! You have GREBT taste for sure. If ever I come over, I'll smuggle some Leffe for you. :-) I was wondering what delicious looking beer that was.

nathalie (stevienixed), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 13:45 (seventeen years ago) link

Leffe is everywhere here now. Love it but more than a half and my head hurts.

sede vacante (blueski), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 13:52 (seventeen years ago) link

Am I the only one who doesn't have a picture of myself flipping the bird?

Ms Misery (MsMisery), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 13:55 (seventeen years ago) link

hence a stupid picture.

maunders (maunders), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 15:07 (seventeen years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 15:11 (seventeen years ago) link

You can be my ILX twin too!

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 15:15 (seventeen years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 15:20 (seventeen years ago) link

maunders (maunders), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 15:35 (seventeen years ago) link

You both look so YOUNG in that picture!

ailsa_xx (ailsa_xx), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 16:03 (seventeen years ago) link

(obviously now you are old and horrible and wizened)

ailsa_xx (ailsa_xx), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 16:03 (seventeen years ago) link

ally was 23, and i think richard was 20 or 21. YOUNGINS.

maunders (maunders), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 16:05 (seventeen years ago) link

That's called the "ILX Effect". We were all fresh-faced before we'd spent a few months on ILX. Now we are bitter, wrinkled hunchbacks with no fingernails and clumps of hair where there were once beautiful, flowing locks.

RJG, plz to bury hatchet with me? I have shovel. Tis the season etc.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 16:08 (seventeen years ago) link

RJG has a hatchet with everyone. Don't take it personally.

masonic boom (kate), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 16:10 (seventeen years ago) link

kv_nol (kv_nol), Tuesday, 19 December 2006 16:11 (seventeen years ago) link
