at some point a half-decent guy who isn't just another business/logistics ballzit fresh from memphis state has to come along and realize you can save a lot on pricey call center staff who turnover all the time & need lots of training $$$ if you just foist a LITTLE accountability for those costs to the local facilities that keep fucking up. Bill the handling facilities & endpoint pickup/delivery guys for the time these poor people have to spend on the phone with me and take it out of their bonus money or whatever. Problem solves itself.

hello DC, I just wanted to say that I like girls more than pizza but a) I'm ostensibly vegan and b) some of the girls mentioned are kind of nasty, anyway the real test is rachel weisz and if anyone picks pizza over her than you are mad simply mad, plus I want you all to have a nice weekend, it's about 10 degrees here but will be 40 on saturday, okay I'll shut up now, peace

Chloral Hydrate: kind of cute, at the molecular level.

TOM. BOT. (trm), Friday, 8 December 2006 14:39 (seventeen years ago) link

how the hell was the show?

i feel like shit, per usual. last drink, as always, was a bad idea.

a_p (a_p), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:07 (seventeen years ago) link

Xavier=million miles an hour but awesome. St. Agnes=good as always. That Fast One Where ZR Screams A Lot=PS wore a wrestling mask. Red and The Black=maybe not as fun as last time but I left earlyish?

Mr. Que (Party with me Punker), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:09 (seventeen years ago) link

it was fun, if sloppy - a bunch of random people showed up (for the oranges band, i guess), and i think a couple of them liked it!

69 (pete), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:10 (seventeen years ago) link

oranges band=sleepy, professional, "hot" bass player, boring drummer?

Mr. Que (Party with me Punker), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:10 (seventeen years ago) link

boring drummers are the worst

TOM. BOT. (trm), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:11 (seventeen years ago) link

TOM. BOT. (trm), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:38 (seventeen years ago) link

I almost missed it but then Pete called me from stage and I could hear someone noodling on guitar and he was all WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU WE ARE ABOUT TO PLAY and I was all KLG JUST GOT HOME and then I got in the car and was there in like 25 minutes.

Mr. Que (Party with me Punker), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:40 (seventeen years ago) link

ZR were you noodling?

TOM. BOT. (trm), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:40 (seventeen years ago) link

ZR got called out by the oranges band for noodling!

69 (pete), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:41 (seventeen years ago) link

I mean, ok, you're depressed, it's cold outside, you hate your day job, yeah, I understand, acting out and having a lot of anxiety, yeah, but noodling?

TOM. BOT. (trm), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:42 (seventeen years ago) link

What I heard on the phone was on stage warm up noodling. Perfectly acceptable.

Mr. Que (Party with me Punker), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:42 (seventeen years ago) link

does anyone at all have suggestions on finding a new job. if it involves a wrestling mask, that's ok.

Noodling is not bad. Noodling is better than the alternative. A dude I was in a band with when he would get onstage would play the same two three chords the same way right before we played. Drove me nuts. But then he was a gigantic asshole.

xpost: I heard noodling on the phone is all I'm saying.

seriously is there anybody here that does not hate, hate, hate their current job?

1. Pete?
2. Mary?

I guess if you post here all day that's a pretty good sign that no.

TOM. BOT. (trm), Friday, 8 December 2006 15:49 (seventeen years ago) link

dude the meat puppets pretty much suck. i used to know a dude who wore this meat puppets t-shirt just about every other day, it was bizarre. my mom liked his shirt, but didn't actually know anything about what it meant. i hope she found out one day, and was disappointed.

They keep taking work away from me and they're centralizing everything, taskwise, and my boss keeps freaking out and taking tasks away but says I'm doing a good job, meanwhile I have less and less work to do, is perhaps the reason, one of them that I can't seem to shut it.
