upon reflection the confirmed gays from my high school all had terrible hair, either mouse-brown and stringy or lamb-blonde and cowlicky. but in those days people didn't have comprehensive hair fixing tricks up their sleeve like we do now, you were stuck with whatever you had got in the hair lottery.
