i am gonna liveblog the shit out of this thing

okay, here it comes!

now THERE'S a bus!

i am taking with me a salad (lettuce, tomatoes, celery, cucumber, carrots) and a bottle of my special delicious homemade salad dressing, officially called "red salad dressing,"

except i have to finish making it when i get to jaq's, because guess which one of my former roommates used up and did not replace the sugar? (HINT: this person says tijiji but is not in fijiji.) so i had to buy some on my way to the bus stop.

there's a man on this bus who sounds exactly like william s. burroughs, which i like.

i buy my phone cards in 5 dollar increments and when my business is done i call lx with the rest. get 5 minutes for the 4 dollars left

it was worth it, though. and i won't have to eat again till tuesday.

OMG!!!! So funny! Am poking at cleaning up sort of and eyeing all the leftover desserts.

i was not bothered by morrie nesting on my bag bc he did so with such disregard for what anyone else thought of it, despite poor jaq's attempts to discourage him.

by request:

red salad dressing

1/2 C white vinegar
1/2 C balsamic vinegar
1 C canola oil
1/2 C sugar
1 T paprika
1 or 2 whole cloves of garlic, peeled

mix everything together in a bottle. take the garlic out at some point, after a week maybe. like most things it's better the 2nd day.

it's one of those totally flexible recipes, though. the original recipe calls for white vinegar only, and uses a whole cup of sugar.

apple cider vinegar works fine. use garlic powder if you don't have cloves. like that. use what you got.

it is a dressing of deliciousness, truly! ty for sharing the recipe
