why did no one point out to me that i spelt estela's name with an extra 'l' on the measuring post?! i could pretend that it was purposeful, so as to indicate its temporary nature, to distinguish it from the permanent mark to come. but i would be lying if i claimed that. was i drunk? mmmaybeeeee. still, no excuse. my apologies, dear friend.

please note: estela's measurement was recorded in october 2009 at sydney's circular quay, and has been notated here solely for comparitive purposes, in order to settle the long-standing dispute between she and ruby. it should in no way be construed as a permanent measurement and in-person appearance for an official recording is required as soon as possible.

maybe you will have shrunk a little next time you visit, estela!!!

to be truthful i am a sorry dunce at pilates, also yesterday i sent a text to the instructor (who i love) saying i couldn't attend because i was 'suffering from unspecified gender-related discomfort'.

i want to visit in the fall maybe. i am going to start doing yoga again so that when i come i will be at my tallest and i will blow all of you away.

for an added control, i will measure stevie and myself when he comes here and then bring the results with me in september to see if the ruby measurement is accurate.

i saw steve tonight but we did not get a chance to measure because my parking meter had expired and i was scared of getting a ticket (those dc meter maids are something just awful).

i did propose brunch on sunday as a means to ensure that measuring can take place before he goes back home.
