Milosevic's monument commemorating the victory over NATO - Entry to subway station
Parallel to ambitions of material presence of Turbolinear architecture, traces of ideology remain in monuments without memory and subway stations without subway as the last material traces from a 'full circle, from stalinism, social realism, socialist modernism and back.'

http://www.newsweek.com/id/124237Rome Subway Dig Yields Surprises
Workers found Roman tombs containing the remains of two children still encased in the burial amphorae, pavements from the eighth century and the ruins of a copper factory from the sixth century complete with the original ovens used to melt copper alloy. In some cases, the city archaeologists just photograph and document the artifacts' location and give the go-ahead to destroy them—as they did recently when they found the remnants of a Roman tavern from the Middle Ages. Those artifacts deemed worthy of excavation are removed and will be transferred to Rome's museums or eventually showcased in the subway stations as part of a subterranean museum network.

research shows
a) upass is valid on light rail
b) if you have a bus transfer, you can select the 'transfer upgrade' option on the light rail ticket kiosk, and pay the additional amount for your rail journey (.25 through beacon hill, .50 through mt. baker, .75 to tukwila)
c) orca will remember your transfer fare for 2 hours; you can either buy the transfer upgrade as above, or tap your card on the reader before boarding and after exiting the train to have the additional amount recorded. (this part is a little confusing to me. i bet you understand it, though.)
