Tim Murray became the first Sounders FC season ticket holder to be voted recipient of the Golden Scarf by polling of the Alliance. Murray has played since his childhood in Chicago and coaches a youth boys team. He is now an English teacher at Shorewood High School in Shoreline and advises the school's Interact Club which focuses on community projects for the homeless. Last season Murray attended each Sounders FC home match and traveled to several away games as well.
