oh yeah, either way. i just want to know, you know?
my mom told me to keep on them about it. it's kind of a miracle the tickets business went so quickly and smoothly. and that's the main thing, right?
perspective.

it's actually good that they're just being flakes and not being weird. DL, on other topics, keeps using the phrase 'first nations giver' uhh but yeah that's what i worry about with them. so flaky is better.

We here at MUTEK would like to welcome everyone to what we hope will be a very productive 2009, filled with renewal and innovation for electronic music and the digital arts. Although the temperature is still well below freezing here in Montreal, we're stoking the fires for our tenth edition.
Please make sure you've marked your calendars already - MUTEK 10 will take place from May 27th to the 31st, 2009. About the only details we can announce at this point is that the weather will be warmer than it is currently, and that it's not too early to start planning your Montreal vacations now. If you attended MUTEK in the last few years, then you already know that the festival has been steadily evolving in scope and ambition. If you haven't joined us in a while, then we can guarantee you that MUTEK 10 is going to be a more deeply fulfilling experience than what you remember.
It's also worth noting that the Canadian dollar is currently more affordable for international guests than it was last year (having lost 20% to the US dollar), making a trip to Montreal all that more attractive. So book now while the rates are in your favour to secure the best deal possible. You most certainly won't regret it!
By mid-February we plan to have a completely re-designed MUTEK.ORG website ready to launch, which will offer a big step forward in content, interaction and user-friendliness. And very soon after that, we'll begin dropping some very big hints of just what we have in store for MUTEK 10.
In the meantime, we've got several local and international events scheduled that we're positive you'll enjoy.

Sleeping BeautyMay 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16
Mats Ek's subversive, comical and heart-rendingly fragile Sleeping Beauty comes to life with Les Grands. Ek's bold adaptation of Charles Perrault's original tale ushers in the unexpected, with occasional nods to Marius Petipa's 1890 choreography. Exit the beautiful sleeping princess: enter the young runaway, a rebellious junkie looking for love and an artificial paradise. Inspired by his encounter with a young addict on the street, Mats Ek's Sleeping Beauty delivers a knockout punch through the use of an unbridled, energetic and incisive gestural language, all of it wrapped up in Tchaikovsky's splendid score. Provocative and unforgettable!
