ppl have a whole year to find a place called the pit to jam in

You could dig a pit, wait for jam making season, and still make the deadline.

i have jammed in the following places:

"the greenhouse"
"the range"
"the shack"

'The Pavilion' - it was a cricket pavilion

i don't think i've ever jammed anywhere that had a name, beyond like 'the practice space'

the basement, the garage, the barn, the shed, the room in the back of the garage, the dungeon, the oven (this was a garage, in the summertime), the living room, the music room, the jam room, "bass station" (this was during the early years of LOST when it was still cool and we had a dharma logo on the wall with a bass clef in the middle), a few months in a dojo, the studio...these were places, but we usually just said, like "joe's" or "dave's" or something.

i've definitely jammed in a few places that could be described as "The Pit"

I played marimba in marching band for one semester. does that count?
