The company had two 4G demonstrations. A mobile stunt entailed providing delegates on a specially designed bus with a live broadcast of the forum, Internet access, and video on demand, all simultaneously at speeds of 100Mbps. Inside the forum venue, Samsung showed off its 1Gbps 4G service with 32 HD channel broadcast downloads, Internet access, and video telephony. The downside for users craving that kind of speed: WiBro won't be out until 2010, though Sprint has a 4G WiMax service in the works for later this year. The downstream speeds will be 2Mbps to 4Mbps, which seem downright sluggish — compared to WiBro."

I love songs about loss and the road not traveled, and I love Alanis Morissette, so this track is right up my alley. This chick sings her guts out, but more than that, she’s an awesome, almost cinematic writer: you can practically “see” the story she’s singing. And, my God, you can certainly feel it: if you don’t identify with her regret in some small way when she belts out the line “What was wroooooong with meeeeeeee?” you’re a goddamned robot. This song feels like the woman stole pages out of a diary I forgot to keep, so personally do the lyrics punch me in my fat gut. We’ve all got a heartbreaking letter like this in us somewhere; mercifully, Ms. Morissette wrote it for us so we don’t have to self-examine too closely.

i just made this awesome lamb curry with a cheap cut of lamb (it exists, was on sale) but expensive cuts of lamb = more awesome. stealing lamb chops might be even funnier than stealing cheese. but i would rather steal other things, like electronics.

the best thing i had this weekend was when we were up at my brother-in-law's house and he cooked a goose and made the most amazing pate after cooking the liver seperately. and the goose was amazing too. truly carnivorous weekend all around. oh, and maria's sister made the mosr delicious garlic-y toast to spread the pate on. i never buy pate, but this was unbelievable.
