Why is this type of phrase so commonly used and why does it have such a weird connotation when said the right (or wrong) way:

"[superlative] _________ ever"

It gives me the shivers. It's like you can;t just say "man that was the best red velvet cupcake ever!" anymore without people being all, "damn dude since when u talk like a fgt?"

no judgement against the cupcakes themselves! but their name sounds kinda faggy. namedropping a type of fabric really does it, much like "lemon chiffon pie." GAY DESSERT.

i actually kinda liked fargo rock city in a beach novel kinda way. but i was reading A LOT of books when i worked at that record/book store. i think klosterman's (only) okay when he's talking about himself, completely batshit when he talks about almost anything else.

and his batshitness, unlike, say, chuck's or many other writers i enjoy and respect, isn't even entertaining or well-written, which is the cardinal sin, i think.

I haven't seen a movie musical made in the last whatever amount of years that I actually liked very much to be honest; in fact, most of them I've hated a lot so I don't hold high hopes for any modern movie musical. I might very well be pleasantly surprised if the singing is as good as being touted or if the main performances are good.
