nyc apt help for april pls

hey there. so in april my lease is up on my les 1br, and the fuckers are jacking the rent by $300, so i need to move. ideally i would stay in the same hood, still be able to live alone, but also not have to sign a year lease -- maybe a six-month sublet or something. i could deal w/ having a roommate again if the place was big enough (tho i really really really don't want to) and i could also live in bk again if it were williamsburg, dumbo, fort greene/clinton hill/bedstuy. price range is $1400 and lower, though i could swing $1800 if i really really really loved the spot. does anyone happen to know someone or have suggestions? many thx.

jon that place would be fine for 1 person! or even a happy couple. but did you mean april or march? our shit's done end of feb, right?

jamz, it's a kitchen, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms. one bedroom is pretty decently sized (jon fits a double bed, loveseat, desk, dresser, bookshelf, etc. with enough room to have a v. furry rug in the middle). the other bedroom is is smaller - not enough room for the loveseat or rug (basically 3/4 the width or so as the other room?). for one person, though, you could easily be happy making one room bedroom and the other a living room or office. the kitchen has next to 0 counter space. it's not a bad place, and the location is good if you like to drink at daddy's, drop off laundry a block away, etc. the upstairs neighbors like to walk around in high heels at all hours. the landlady doesn't like leases, so you could do month to month and just give her notice a month before you leave.

that sounds v promising. i feel slightly weird moving back to the hood (i lived a couple blocks from there for a while and my ex still lives nearby) but i will have to consider that. is it available march or april?

laurel and i are trying to figure out the logistics of wearing pointy/pretty/heeled shoes in the snow. help!

there is a bus that stops like in front of my house and right by bar but requires going way around into queens and that is just silly. another bus is more direct but has longer walks to get to and from.

how do we shot wearing fun shoes without sinking into snow banks? don't say bring other shoes in purse because a purse that big inhibits dancing.
