I don't know how I should feel about this.
I slept with a girl about a month and a half ago. I used protection and everything but she calls me today and tells me she's definitely pregnant.
I start freaking out. I'm a young guy in college and I just royally fucked up my life and made a huuuuuuuuuge mistake.

Well then she says "Stop freaking out. I'm not keeping it." She tells me that she's known about it for a week or so and her best friend Greg took the rap for it. Even though it's definitely mine she told her dad it was Greg's and Greg said it was and all her dad said was "Well I guess you should be more careful next time."
Then I find out this isn't her first abortion. Her best friend and her got pregnant by the same guy on the same day during a 3-some and they both went and got an abortion together.
Her insurance is going to pay for it so I don't even have any monetary obligation.
Basically I just got off free. She even said "Nobody will ever know you were involved."
I just don't know how to react to this. I'm just having a bag of mixed emotions. I got a girl pregnant. I should be in colossal trouble. But she's getting rid of it. I mean I'm pro choice but I wasn't even consulted about the decision and now it's like I had nothing to do with it.
My friend Chris told me it's a wake up call. I've slept with a bunch of girls recently and he said it was a wake up call to slow down and start being more careful.

What gear said (does insurance seriously cover abortions??)--but you probably should be careful. I dunno, I guess I am old-fashioned in that I really think you should honestly consider "what if something awful happens and I'm tied to this person FOREVER" before you sleep with anyone.

yeah, i'd generally stay away from the girl from now on. it's awful to suggest, but crazy girls are not above using pregnancies, real or invented, to emotionally manipulate their prey. even if she's honest, then she still has shown a dubious pattern of behavior and is still probably crazy.

a friend of mine was going out with this girl for a year and then she dumped him. a month or so later he started sleeping with this girl he'd just met who lived in his building and immediately knocked her up. she didn't want to get an abortion and then panicked and left town for six months, then she returned. now they're about to get married and they've got a kid and he's spent all of four months with her total. they're both pretty miserable.

my sister suspected one of her friends pulling this scheme (on the guy she lost her virginity to).

she (the friend) even showed off a "sonogram" which was clearly someone else's from a few years before. she soon had the "abortion" and was like nothing ever happened. her own family and the guy's family (and girlfriend!) shunned her and she was basically forced to drop out of school and move out of state.

just before all this the girl was bitten by a copperhead and hospitalized during the same month her mother died. so...not surprising that she went bonkers.

she is a nice girl too, it's really depressing as hell.
