i went on an indiepop bender this weekend. versus, mark robinson, pastels, that goddamn push kings "macy macy" single, the pastels, etc. i don't know if it inspired it but it does follow last weekend's powerpop bender where i heard at least 3 different bomp compilations.

seriously, it's a mistake whenever i play it because it somehow etches itself into my brain and playing other records doesn't get if off my mind. i can listen to it at 10 a.m. then play other records all day and night and around 11 p.m. when i'm changing albums i'll find myself muttering "we'll go somewhere else and LET IT ROCK" and then perhaps i'll throw some devil horns.

also i sort of think the nerves are my favorite power pop band and their catalog has been in limbo for years right? there's that spanish penniman 10" record available but there's supposedly been a cd reissue in the offings for what, three or four years now? first i thought it was gonna be on bomp, then swami, now i know nothing. does anyone?
