^I was just playin hideNseek with yer machismo, jorel.

Some of my best friends like football, I nev said it was exclusive to dummies. There's just a reason it's the easiest sport for drunks to follow.

(i'm just saying, sports like soccer or basketball or hockey where it's just back & forth with very few stops in the action are obviously way easier to follow than football with its downs and kicks and start-stoppiness!)

(every sport has its own intricacies, and yes, football is an extremely difficult sport to follow and understand properly--or at all, knowing the scores and who is playing isn't exactly the same thing as "following" and "understanding." It is an extremely strategic sport, and players need to know hundreds upon hundreds of different plays and looks and options just to play a single quarter. Coupled with the fact that there are idiotic, drunken, abusive fans in all sports--indeed, my nastiest experience was at a baseball game while I've had nary an incident at a football or hockey game. But, there is no point to this conversation.)

xpost wtf get a new prescription grandpa.

(slocks, really they're all pretty difficult to follow if you can't be bothered to pay attention, you can catch the basics of any of them with minimal effort, is also part of what I am saying here)

successfully negotiating tight country lanes on my first outing on the wrong side of the road.

at least with tight country lanes you don't really have to deal with oncoming traffic, because someone usually has to give way. but oh, the fun you'll have when you hit a roundabout!

Lauren (lauren), Wednesday, 3 January 2007 19:29 (seventeen years ago) link

it is the opposite, though! if there's oncoming traffic, you're fucked because there's literally about two feet of total breathing room (wall to car, car to car, car to wall)
