This episode predates internet browsers. The "world where you're judged by what you say and think, not by what you look like" was out the window when Netscape Communicator came onto the scene along with fancy schmancy graphics. That in mind, this is actually more depressing than anything. Intellectual validity has been replaced with who has the most friends on MySpace.

I used to watch Ghostwriter for some reason. I mean, I wasn't 12, I was like, finishing high school. But I thought it was pretty awesome. And I totally remember when that episode aired. I was at my father's house watching it on a saturday afternoon and totally lost my shit when she started going on about hacking and cyberspace and Neuromancer.
