my funny uncle wasn't gay but he was a drunk. we used to wonder why uncle john was going to the corner store on xmas day for more "orange juice" and was really amazed at how he would go from moaning and mumbling early in the day to being downright chatty after his 6th glass of o.j.

this is the same uncle who claimed he was "rolled by a chinaman" when the somerville p.d. found him passed out and bleeding in an alley in winter hill.

i think i'll just follow in uncle john's footsteps and be the funny drunk uncle instead of the funny gay uncle. at least this way i don't have anything new to learn.

yeah, hm, saturday might be better, i don't know. i was thinking about doing some sightseeing on friday and will prob be whiped out by night-time. but at the same time, am always good for a non-late night thing.

i haven't left the house yet, ohnoes. there is a baby grand piano in this place (place is srsly small, 6 floors up, no elevator, yet a piano??) and it's been keeping me indoors, haha. awesome weather today though wow

i haven't seen uncle john since my grandmother died a decade ago. by that time he'd quit drinking as he was in his late 50s/early 60s. this was after he got robbed and beaten while stumbling home in alston, he was beaten so severely that he was in a coma for 2 weeks. he was a shell of himself at his mother's funeral, he went from 6' 6" 240 lbs. down to probably 175. gaunt, sunken, he looked like the frame of the man i used to know. don't know where he is now, not sure anyone does.

i was drunk twice in brooklyn and once in manhattan last month. not bad considering i was there less than 48 hours.

i would go to brooklyn for drinks!
was thinking that saturday would be brooklyn day (coney island, etc with jbr (who is great :) of course) and anyone else who's in.) but obv one can go to brooklyn two days in a row, it has happened.

yeah we wanna go to coney island on saturday afternoon/evening. pizza at totonno's, french fries at nathan's, beer at ruby's, skeeball at astroland, junk stores on surf avenue. but we can drink on friday as well!

robyn is totally great, she and i are going to start a hippie commune in the forest (any forest) and build yurts made of hemp and eat nothing but raw quinoa while playing drones and singing witchygothy psych-folk inna mellow candle/comus stylee.
