Last night I was trying to think of an NYC/Chicago translation map (prompted by thinking "hey Jon, Belmont = 14th Street"), but I didn't get very far. I don't know if that says more about their being totally different cities or just my imagination not working.

I think that place has opened within the last year or two, so I'm guessing not that place.

Me too. I would really like to go to Chicago or NYC in March, but so many expensive things coming up in 2007 I'm trying to save for. (Starting with a new fridge later today.)

last time i was in chicago it was a short amtrak layover and i had JUST enough time to go down the street for some italian beef w/ giardiniera and then run back to catch my train. it was cold that day anyway.

the museum of science and industry is swell, totally one of the best science museums in the country (not as good as the one in san francisco though).

i still have the job, luckily i've been so sick (as jon can attest by his repeated "are you sure you don't want some dayquil?" at the bar) that they assumed i wasn't coming in. when i came in this morning they told me to go home, depending on how much i get done i may take off soon.

and jon/kenan, did we close out our tab before leaving wednesday? i know i closed out the first tab when the bartender's changed shifts but we had a few more after that.

Jon, when can we hang out? My band is playing a show on Saturday early evening if you want to come, not too far from your HQ. Sorry I wasn't able to make drinkeez the last couple nights.

I might be up for that. Kr and I are going to Green Zebra for dinner at 7, and then we're making sure Nick and Sarah's cats aren't dead, but we don't have plans following that.

i've never actually seen c-n-s-t- but i did happen to be drinking at the bottle once during your sound check. i don't think i't's my style either.

isn't there also a medical museum in chicago? if/when i visit chicago i would also go there. am jealous about good burritos.

i used to take visitors there whenever they came through town but all i have are recycled visitors now and they all say "but we went there LAST time!" so now i just take them to bars and get them drunk.

speaking of dry but fascinating, i really REALLY want to go the the gerald ford library & museum. the only downside being that it's in grand rapids. but that's still a semi-reasonable drive away and i really do wanna go.
