yeah i thought my school would've had a 10yr reunion, but nope. i wouldn't go anyway, since my only motivation would be to find out what everyone is doing with their lives because i'm totally nosy, but i can get the same info thru facebook.

i think this is a common experience for nerds, i had the added joy of catholic education

i don't remember whether i really hated it i just feel no desire to see anyone from it except a couple people i still talk to anyway

i also really don't like "events" but that's separate

i didn't go to my (catholic) high school reunion but my best friend from school did and she regretted it, she said they were all as boring as ever.

one time a delegation of girls i didn't mind too much from my class came to me and pleaded with me to study for our final exams and beat this mean smug girl who was about to become top of the class (highest aggregate), they said they were all too thick to do it so i was their only chance, so i said i would see what i could do and i studied hard for two weeks and took out the prizes and then we were all bonded in jubilation over her sulky shocked face but the nuns were angry because i didn't deserve it because i was frequently unpunctual and disruptive to others.

haha, that's a great story estela! in 11th grade math i had a silent battle with a girl next to me because she was obnoxious and perfect and would correct the teacher if he ever made a mistake. every time we got a test back i would look at her paper to see if my grade was higher. it was fun when she sulked if she got a 97 or something. i think that was when i really started liking math. then i was mad when my brother went to prom with her.

lol you both would have loathed the girl who was going to be top of the class if i didn't act swiftly.

when i was in middle school this girl who used to be one of my 'best friends' suddenly turned on me and started this rumor that i was cheating and spread it all over the 7th grade and i had no friends for the 2nd half of that year, but really i wasn't cheating and i was just smarter than they were :(

i'm reading final proofs of my friend's novel for him and i keep finding tiny wrong things and it needs to be done by the end of today because it's getting printed next week and launched the week after and i'm dying of tired eyes.

send all sandboxers 1 chapter and it will be done in no time at all!

gahhhhhhhhhhh so we both have the biggest fucking pet peeve about typos etc. in books, and when jordan was recently published in a magazine, they COMPLETELY MASSACRED his poem - lines missing, lines all wrong, typos - and it was really super distressing. and therefore we were ULTRA pedantic about proof reading our first project. we both must have read the poems 100x, easily. now, months later, i'm reading through the book again and i find TWO M-Fing typos!!! i am irked beyond belief.

on a happier note: a "love poem" jordan wrote for me is being published (not by us) in a miniature handmade hardcover book
