Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:21 (nineteen years ago)

why didn't they find a new singer the same way inxs did?

grady (grady), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 01:41 (nineteen years ago)

They were going to do that if this guy didn't work out. But first they would have gone to Mike Patton.

step hen faps (Curt1s Stephens), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 02:06 (nineteen years ago)

But does anyone remember LITTLE MISS CANT BE WRONG?

[electric sound of] esteban buttez (Estie Buttez), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 11:16 (nineteen years ago)

whatcha gonna do, to get into another one of these here rock and roll songs

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 11:31 (nineteen years ago)

If someone in the early-90s buried a time capsule, they better have put in a Spin Doctors record and a Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge. That's what the early-90s was all about, my friends!

Dom Passantino (DomPassantino), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 11:36 (nineteen years ago)

Akon should cover this.

Dom Passantino (DomPassantino), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 11:53 (nineteen years ago)

I remember for some reason I used to own two copies of that Spin Doctors album, though I'd bought neither of them. It's notable in that it has three great tunes (the three singles), and rest of it is utterly worthless. It's like the band thought, "We have three nice songs, we can sell the album on the strength of those, why bother wasting our energy on the rest?".

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 14:03 (nineteen years ago)

ullgh..growing up too close to vermont, i had the spin doctors once an hour on the alternative radio station before they had a record. they played in albany almost as much as phish...the worst was that damned "what time is it?" song.

now, ill just try and recall some story recently told to me concerning that dude with the hat.

benbaumes (bbia), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 15:14 (nineteen years ago)

the worst was that damned "what time is it?" song.

OTM.

i still cant have someone ask me that question without that song popping into my head, despite having not heard it in like 15 years.

grady (grady), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 19:08 (nineteen years ago)

It's not late, NAW NAW, it's just EARLY, EARLY.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 19:43 (nineteen years ago)

What does ITT mean? I like the song quite a bit in any case though "What Time Is It?" was pretty annoying and, yes, still gets in my head.

Sundar S (SundarS), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 19:48 (nineteen years ago)

ITT- "In this thread"

Dom Passantino (DomPassantino), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 20:07 (nineteen years ago)

That sounds like the most useless acronym ever... I mean, if you'd just write "Two Princes", everyone would know what's in this thread.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 20:13 (nineteen years ago)

Just like if you were to write "Can Centaurs Masturbate?" everyone would know that a serious discussion about wether centaurs could or could not masturbate could be found within.

grady (grady), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 20:18 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, but you could put "ITT" in front of every thread title, and the information content wouldn't change at all.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 20:19 (nineteen years ago)

Can you inject subjects into OTHER threads by saying 'In [x] thread, "Counting Blue Cars"'?

step hen faps (Curt1s Stephens), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 20:30 (nineteen years ago)

One of my best friends in high school looked exactly like this band's bass player, and for the span of time "What Time Is It?" was popular, not fifteen minutes would go by that someone wouldn't "jokingly" ask him for the time in the halls. Later, he would inflict upon the school an alternate version of Billy Joel's "River of Dreams" or whatever with the lyric "in the middle of the night, I go fucking teachers' brains".

nklshs (nklshs), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 20:38 (nineteen years ago)

YSI?

Dom Passantino (DomPassantino), Tuesday, 28 November 2006 21:11 (nineteen years ago)

Tuomas, "this is the thread where I say".

Daniel Reifferscheid (Daniel_Rf), Sunday, 3 December 2006 14:52 (nineteen years ago)
