Obviously the advertising world suggested by 'The Simpsons' several years ago with the 'Poochie' episode has come to be a total reality; and companies doing clueless 'urban' versions of their ads is an old standby (i.e. the McDonald's 'I'd Hit It' billboards), but this shit never fails to fascinate and horrify me. Increasingly it becomes clear that George Saunders is writing the world.
Anyway, please beware/be aware of 'The Tax Rap' contest; a YouTube based competition, presented by Vanilla Ice, @ http://www.youtube.com/TheTaxRap, featuring the following ad copy:
"Yo! Everyone knows nothing goes together better than RAPPING and TAXES. Don't get it twisted. TurboTax is the #1 selling, #1 rated tax software in the US—A. Platinum. We don't do "sweet". We do big, fat, throw your back out they're so big tax REFUND checks. I'm America's most trusted, fool! Represent.
And don't forget to check out TheTaxRap.com for more exclusive flava!"
I haven't even watched the submitted videos yet, but I can't wait.
