Savage Republic's "Tragic Figures" LP always seemed a classic of this genre: "The crisis in our nation is not caused by external forces . ." Can you beat that? See also Sonic Youth's "Society is a Hole" Greil Marcus thought this was parody hardcore, but I'd prefer to believe otherwise.
