Strangely enough, this is a tough one!! I listened to a lot of country radio in my early years and remember "Independence Day" fondly, but "4th of July" is def one of the better Soundgarden tracks.

"Independence Day" suffers, though, from being used as the theme for Sean Hannity's radio show--totally out of context, of course. Though it's easy to imagine Hannity as the father in the song.
