wish I could -- haven't heard her work yet. Marianne Schroeder's recorded some of the piano works, I've always wondered about that disc when I see it in the racks.

can you recommend a recording?

found the alex ross nyt overview from 1995 here, there's a lot on her online

:(

This is sad, particularly as I've been slowly getting into her throughout this year. Her music can be quite difficult in its fierceness.

I don't know about particular recordings because I haven't heard enough of them to decide which is better than which, but I like her "Octet" and her "Concerto for piano, string orchestra, & timpani." Not so much into her piano compositions nor her symphonic works.

:-(

There ws a post or two of talk on 'real' ilm's thread on Radulescu, I think.

About a couple of months back one of the concertos was given a play by the Sinfonietta and the reviewer I read did complain over how fierce it ws, especially the hitting wood block part - not heard that, but I like some other things. A very single-minded composer.

As for the piano works I've only heard were the Oleg Malov versions, the work for violin and piano I found it to be a good starting point.
