Answer: He had a stroke in 1993. Maybe this ain't news to all y'all, but it sure was t'me. Seems that he's been busy since he extricated hisse'f from the "warehouse". I dunno 'bout the fiction, but his blog is hilarious.

I'd be really goddamned pissed-off if folks thought I attempted suicide when I didn't. Being unable to dispute the claim would make it a whole lot worse, though.
