You know the one I mean with the desert and rock against the sky. Yeah I finally bought it tonight yes I did. Because god loves me. An atheists happiness just happens sometimes.

My favourite thing was their Song Remains The Same video and then someone told me about this one and I moved out of the way to worship.

The thread title sounds like it was made up by Robert Plant

"I think you know what DVD I'm talkin' about"

"squeeze my DVD remote till the battery acid runs down my leg"

Hahahah!

So far yeah it is mind numbingly fantastic. I mean there is music in the world and then there is Music.

Oh yeah, I'd say you better not call yourself a Zeppelin fan and not have this. It only gets better the more you watch of it. Skeptical me didn't think anything could beat Song Remains the Same video. I'm quite wrong, apparently.

There's a lot of really talented and amazing bands in the world, but not one is actually better than Led Zeppelin. Maybe some bands match them but no one surpasses them.

Bimbler (Sourkraut), Wednesday, 20 December 2006 05:00 (seventeen years ago) link

Well, maybe no one was better at rocking in the particular way that they rock, but there were plenty of things they weren't the best at, including songwriting.

Don't get me wrong, I've had my moments where Out On the Tiles or some other song caused my body to produce some sort of natural cocaine, prodding me to go up on my roof and shout "THIS IS THE GREATEST MUSIC EVER MADE!", but it's a bit of a ridiculous notion when you think about it.

At one point during a class this semester, we were talking about Plato and the notion of objectivity &c., and a kid raised his hand and asked, inncuously, "What about Led Zeppelin?" His thought being, apparently, that Led Zeppelin was objectively the greatest band of all time--the Form of ROCK or something.

"what about Led Zeppelin?" should be randomly interjected into conversations more often

The MSG shit is the best part.. specifically "Since I've Been Loving You." It's kinda weird, but I get tingly when I watch that part.

shakey i vote that you go post that in random threads and bump them to the top
