Guitar Rock--whose the best around these days?

I'm addicted to guitar rock--that's all I like, And occasionally some piano jazz or some soul, but I cant stand Pop, I cant stand R&B, hip hop, rap, techno, indiustrial, classical, most country, most folk, most anything with a synthesizer (unless its only funtion is to enhance the guitar's presence) and well, you get the picture...
Anyway theres a lot of interesting guitar rock out there, so what the best, maybe you can offer me some suggestions that I havent heard before???

To give an idea of my taste I've been listening to alot of this lately: ANd you'll know us by the trail of the dead, kings of leon. the heads, magenta lane, McLusky, strokes, sebadoh, royal trux, circle jerks, flamin groovies, velvet underground, etc...

Ein kleiner weißer Wagemann
der steht vor meiner Tür,
ein kleiner weißer Wagemann
der stand gestern noch nicht hier,
und neben dran der Schlitten,
der lädt uns beide ein,
zur aller ersten Schlittenfahrt
ins Märchenland hinein.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
klingt es weit und breit.
Schön ist eine Schlittenfahrt
im Winter wenn es schneit.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
klingt es weit und breit.
Mach' mit mir
'ne Guitar-rockschlacht,
der Winter steht bereit!

Er kam auf leisen Sohlen
ganz über Nacht,
hat heimlich und verstohlen
den ersten Rockismus gebracht.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
klingt es weit und breit.
Hell erstrahlt die ganze Welt
im weißen, weißen Kleid.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
klingt es weit und breit.
Christkind geht durch
den Winterwald,
denn bald ist Weihnachtszeit.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells,
klingt es weit und breit...

The only current guitar rock band I am excited about these days in Tokyo Jihen.

I had a dream last night that I was going to see them. There were people from work, and there was someone who started out as a deceased friend and ended up as my brother, or vice versa. There were all these young Asians dressed really well and that's when I remembered (or realized?) that I was about to see Tokyo Jihen and I said, "This is going to be GREAT!"

If its guitar rock, then I'll at least be interested in hearing it. I'm really in to listening to songs that have dueling guitar battling it out...my interested started many moons ago when I first heard neil young battling it out with dany whitten off those early 70s crazy horse albums...then ofcourse bands like Television, I Just fell in love with that shlt and love the way this kind of guitar rock has evolved over the years...

PEW (PEW), Friday, 15 December 2006 21:17 (nineteen years ago)

yeah that Television shlt is great shlt. PEW OTM.

There's this thing about Nick Kent writing about Television sounding amazingly not like rock. Sort of it's a new paradigm stuff (if I remember correctly). Now I was only young at the time, but much as I love Television, I can't see that it's really that different from some stuff that went before, just really good...
