I realized my problem with LCD Soundsystem is the way James Murphy relies so heavily on wit but so rarely achieves it. I mean "North American Scum" is so ALMOST clever. There are a few good lines, like the one about New York being the only place able to keep Christians off the streets. "New York I Love You..." well, if you're going to write a song like that it better be DAMNED incisive, and this falls short. I do like "mild billionaire mayor"
